4th/5th July 2009
Southsea Common

TA100 whilst celebrating Airborne Forces Day Southsea producing
a weekend filled with entertainment and activity for all the family.
So what are we doing this year?

This year we shall be hosting
'Armed Forces Day'
To build on the success of 'Veterans Day' and in response to the recommendations of the
2008 report into the
National Recognition of the Armed Forces, from 2009 the event will
also celebrate the men and women still serving in our Armed Forces.

The title Armed Forces Day has been chosen to reflect the wider Armed Forces family of
serving Personnel (both regular and reserve), veterans and cadet forces.
"Honouring Britain's Armed Forces, past present and future"

There will be two days of arena events accompanied by many sideshows
and displays involving all three services.

Forces support organisations will be on site to provide an insight to what
is available for both serving and veteran personnel.

The local community are not forgotten and there are many attractions to
satisfy the younger family members.

Also over the two days there are markets to suits all tastes and pockets. A
World Market (goods from all around the world).
